The Whisper of Desire

Upon your skin, I trace the subtle line
Where shadows dance and whispered secrets sleep,
A touch that sets your steady heart to leap,
And makes your yielding body fully mine.

Your breath comes short, a sigh, a fragile sign
Of passions rising from the dark and deep,
While in your eyes, a dizzy promise keep,
That pulls me in with a design divine.

Your lips, half-parted, beckon me to taste
The honeyed wine of your desire’s sharp sting,
To quench a thirst that only you can bring.
Let’s lose ourselves in time, in this warm space,
As fervent hands and eager bodies cling,
And both our names to ecstasy we sing.
