The First Spark

Before the light, before the breath,
Before the dance of life and death,
There lay a silence, deep and vast,
A future shadowed, overcast.

No star had sparked in velvet dark,
No time had left its fleeting mark,
Just endless still, a formless haze,
The universe’s unlit maze.

Then came a tremor, small and slight,
A stirring in the endless night,
A point of heat, a seed of might,
That shattered all with blinding light.

The void exploded, fire and stone,
The first foundations overthrown,
Matter burst from its tight leash,
In cosmic chaos, wild and free.

The galaxies began to spin,
A brand new age to begin,
With suns that burned with fiery grace,
And planets found their destined place.

In cooling seas, on infant Earth,
The miracle of life gave birth,
From simple cells, a fragile start,
The beating of a future heart.

And so it was, and so it is,
The moment that forever is,
The dawn of time, a sacred spark,
That lit the universe and dark.

      1. When I wrote this, I wrote it with the mindset of infinite cycle or reincarnation of you will. Birth➡️ Death ➡️ Rebirth. 😊 thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed, Mimi.
