“Crimson Sands: Blood of the Nile” Part 6

The chamber quaked again—dust trickling down from the carved ceiling as if the ancient stone itself trembled at the sound. Bianca pulled away from his throat slowly, reluctantly, like a cat interrupted mid-hunt. Her fingers stayed tangled in his hair a moment longer before she released him.

Her rival exhaled shakily, pulse still racing. “Who… who would dare come here?”

Bianca’s expression sharpened. The softness of temptation shifted into the regal cold of a vampire who ruled shadows as kingdoms.

“Only a fool,” she murmured, “or someone who believes they can match me.”

She stepped back, and for the first time the full shape of her power unfurled. Shadows curled around her ankles. The torches bent as if bowing. The sigils etched along the stone walls glimmered in response to her presence, ignited by a force older than the temple itself.

Her rival swallowed. “Bianca… should we—”

She raised a hand. He fell silent instantly, instinct obeying before thought could form.

“Stay behind me,” she said, her tone not tender but possessive. “You are mine—and I will not have what is mine threatened.”

The chamber door groaned, the heavy stone sliding open as if pushed by something stronger than mortal muscle. The torches guttered, then flared unnaturally tall.

From the darkness beyond the threshold, a shape emerged.

Tall. Cloaked. Radiating an aura that made the air colder, tighter… hungrier.

Her rival stiffened. “That’s—”

“I know,” Bianca whispered, voice low with a dangerous calm. “The High Warden of the Coven.”

The intruder stepped fully inside. No breath stirred beneath his hood. No heartbeat echoed. His gaze—though unseen—fell on Bianca first, then on the man behind her.

“I sensed bloodlust,” the Warden said, voice a deep resonance that seemed to crawl along the bones of the chamber. “Unregulated. Unpermitted.”

Bianca smiled, slow and deadly. “You sensed desire, not bloodshed.”

The Warden tilted his head. “Your games have consequences, Bianca.”

“I was unaware I needed permission,” she answered coolly, “in my own sanctum.”

The Warden’s attention slid to her rival—lingering with a weight that made the man tense.

“This one does not belong to you,” he said.

Bianca’s voice darkened. “He does now.”

“You would claim him without ritual? Without council judgment?”

She stepped forward, her shadow stretching long behind her. “I would claim him because he chose.”

Her rival felt heat rise at the words—fear and pride mingling in a dizzying rush. He had no idea what these ancient rules were, or how many he had just broken by stepping into her orbit.

The Warden lifted a gloved hand. “Stand aside. He must be taken.”

Bianca’s eyes gleamed—bright, lethal, beautiful. “Try.”

The air snapped.

The torches went out all at once, plunging the chamber into velvet black.

A rush of wind tore through the room—cold as a tomb, sharp as bone. Her rival felt something brush past him, like fingers reaching through the dark.

Then Bianca moved.

He didn’t see her—she moved faster than vision—but he felt the sudden wave of power, hot and furious, as she collided with the presence in the doorway. The impact cracked through the air like thunder.

A hiss. A snarl. The scrape of steel or bone clashing against immortal strength.

Her rival stumbled back, heart pounding, searching for any scrap of light.

Then—
A spark.
A flare.
A single torch reignited.

And in its golden glow he saw Bianca—
hair wild, eyes blazing, fangs bared—
locked in a deadly embrace with the Warden’s shadow.

She looked magnificent.
Terrifying.
Unstoppable.

And when her gaze flicked toward him for the briefest instant, crimson and commanding—

“Do not run,” she ordered. “You stay. You watch. You learn exactly what it means… to be mine.”

The chamber trembled again as the duel of darkness truly began.
