Daily Prompt # 32 “Friend In Me”

What quality do you value most in a friend?

From my own experience, I’ve learned that even the best ideas or the kindest intentions can fall flat without solid communication skills. Being able to really listen, express myself honestly, and work through misunderstandings has saved my friendships more times than I can count. That said, having friends at all is its own kind of awesome—a shared laugh or a quiet moment of support can turn a rough day around. But those friendships only hold up when they’re built on loyalty, trust, and respect. If I had to pick the quality I value most in a friend, it would be loyalty. Not blind agreement, but the quiet, steady choice to show up, have my back, and be honest with me even when it’s hard. Loyalty, to me, is the glue that makes trust and respect last.
