Lover’s Gift to Osiris

O Osiris, my beloved, torn by fate’s dark hand,

I call your name where papyrus bows in grief.

Through Nile’s long veins I wander desert land,

To gather you in hope, in faith, in belief.

By moonlit spells and wings spread wide in vow,

I breathe you whole where death once claimed its throne.

My tears become the flood that crowns you now,

And from my love, your throne is reborn, grown.

No blade, no god, no treachery can sever

The bond I weave with magic, blood, and breath.

For love outlives the grave and mocks forever

The silent, jealous hands that deal in death.

Though worlds fall dark, my heart will still arise—

For I am Isis, and you are Osiris.

  1. This poem is absolutely enchanting. The imagery of the Nile, moonlit vows, and reborn thrones makes the love between Isis and Osiris feel eternal and powerful. I love how every line balances devotion, magic, and defiance against fate—truly a vivid and moving tribute to love that transcends death.

Thank you so much — that means a lot. I wanted their love to feel bigger than myth, like something that breathes through time itself. Isis and Osiris have always symbolized devotion that refuses to break, even when the world tries to tear it apart, so hearing that the imagery and emotion resonated with you is incredible. I’m really glad the blend of magic, loyalty, and defiance came through in the lines.
